Second Half Capitulation Seals Guantanamo Fate As Tempers Fray 21/10/09
Racing Guantanamo again failed to capitalise on a good first half performance, capitulating in the second half to a rampant NDFC side. Guantanamo were without Tony Delaney and Jack Reagan, while Tim Gray ruled himself out after a late fitness test. The match began well for the Mighty Orange, but in the second half, NDFC managed to find the pace the run the Guantanamo defence ragged, causing captain Andy Smyth to commit two cynical fouls, in which he was lucky not to have been sent off. Terry Ragoonanan had his best game for the club, with the big Trinidadian looking dangerous in the centre of the front line. Some serious soul searching will have to be done this week, as the Mighty Oranges are up against it as they face Pearl Coast Pirates. Final Score Scorers Racing Guantanamo Matchday Squad
