2009 B-Liga Season Preview

Plenty has been said about the prospects for the Mighty Orange this season, but one thing is for sure, captain Andy Smyth and CEO Ryan Platten have not skimped on the money, with big money transfers being splashed out on some big names.

The season has not had the best of beginnings however, with Guantanamo losing legendary goalkeeper Francois 'The Rock' Kruger to a long-term ligament injury, while the influential Tim Gray looks set to miss a substantial part of the season with his problem calf flaring up again.

Andy Chapman has been brought into the squad as a replacement goalkeeper, and already the former Cable Beach United man has looked the goods, despite his nine year absence from the game.

Rumours are abound that Guantanamo have also secured the long-term signature of Tony Delaney for this season. The former Fremantle Docker has played a couple of games in the past for the Mighty Orange, but has been hesitant to ink a deal.

Nevertheless, Guantanamo fans have been excited about this seaosn, which is shaping up to be one of the best for the men in orange.
