2010 Broomedesliga Season Preview

Another year, and another surge in growth for 'Broome's Most Popular Team' ©.

Captain Andy Smyth has the luxury of retaining the core of his squad from last season, while at the same time adding some quality signings to bolster the stocks.

In fact, there are so many signings, that the club have announced a club extension, which effectively sees the formation of two squads - Racing Guantanamo AFC and Sporting Guantanamo AFC.

Both squads will compete in the same league, and fans are excited about the first ever Guantanamo Derby.

On the signings front, Mighty Orange fans welcome back a number of familiar faces. Jackson Cordingley, a former product of the Guantanamo youth academy, has re-signed with the club, while Raiko Kiudmaa has also re-signed.

To cover the goalkeeping spot, Seby Parasiliti has stepped into the big shoes of Francois "The Rock" Kruger who is still out injured, and Andy Chapman who is taking a season break from the indoor and will return once the B-Liga resumes.

The will be an exciting season for Guantanamo, who have their eyes firmly fixed on the championship.
